Choreography

My Choreographers Bio
I am an incredibly passionate choreographer with a knack for creating gorgeous visual patterns and moving stories. For any event, my focus will always be creating a heartfelt connection between the performers and audience.
I discovered my love of choreography in my first year of high school. All of the dance students were welcome to audition their original works for our end of year showcase, and I not only won a place in the show, but was granted a choreography award for my first ever solo choreography. I went on to receive more choreography awards throughout my years in the program, and in my final year, I reprised my grade 9 solo with a full company of almost 50 dancers.
I continued to explore choreography through my teaching years at various dance studios, creating beautiful group choreographies for our end of year performances, Christmas showcases, parade participations and competitive seasons. This sometimes involved managing shows of up to 100 dancers.
My most valuable experience was when I served as the Co-Creative Director of Stardust Academy in Amman, Jordan. I designed the season’s programming, led the entire dance program, as well as co-wrote, directed, and choreographed the end of year productions for three years. My final year with the program abruptly ended in March 2020 after a sold out opening of an original production which featured some of the best choreography the program had ever seen. My heart is still broken that our production of The Lion King never saw the stage, but I hope to have the opportunity to choreograph it again in the future.
Recently, I had the honour of working with Robert Binet of The National Ballet as a contributing choreographer for the Walk with Amal performance with the Luminato Festival.
